Retail has experienced much disruption during recent times which has allowed brands such as Lounge Underwear to seize market opportunities and scale the lingerie market. Students from the Fashion Management Course were invited to share their insights.

The NTU Fashion Management students took on the challenge and delivered an impressive 3000-word illustrated business report with a creative twist, using Adobe InDesign to create a professional-looking document providing insight on aspects such as International Market selection, competitors and SWOT analysis, range development & progression, trend research and merchandising pack. In addition, they produced a technical presentation focusing on one garment from their proposed range.

The winners of this live project were invited by Lounge Underwear to their global HQ in Solihull to present their work and have head office experience. “I was so grateful for the opportunity to present my work that I created. said BA (Hons) Fashion Management student Jess Bennett. “It also helped me with my confidence with presenting to new people, as the more we practice the better we get at things.”

The students also toured the new 54,000 sq ft headquarters dubbed ‘HQME’. The headquarters features Wellness Rooms, cafes, modern office spaces and meeting rooms, and a multi-story sculpture inspired by lounges first designs, called ‘She’. “It was so interesting to see the environment that the employees work in and made me so motivated to make it to a workplace like this in the future”.
