Changes to the attendance monitoring app
Published: 15/01/2025
From the start of this term, the QR codes used to register attendance in lectures and seminars will change every few seconds, rather than having one code for the whole session.
This will help us better measure the engagement with your academic sessions and provide you with support and guidance if needed.
But don’t worry - this change won’t make a difference to how you register your attendance when you attend sessions. You’ll still go to the MyNTU app, click the ‘attendance’ tile and scan the dynamic QR code displayed by your lecturer.
Make sure you see the ‘successfully registered’ pop up before closing your app. If it says ‘invalid code’ please log out of the app and then try again.
If you aren’t in the live session and try to scan the QR code, you’ll see ‘unable to register’ as the code you’ve scanned is out of date.
Registering your attendance is really important for all students, but it is especially critical if you are on a student visa. Learn more on StudentHub.
