Coaching and officiating
This strand is an integral component of NTU Sport, without our volunteer coaches and officials NTU Sport would simply not run. Whether you are taking your first steps into coaching/officiating or want to expand on your prior experiences, our Coaching & Officiating strand as part of our Sport Leadership & Volunteering programme can help!
We offer a broad range of opportunities in a number of programmes for our students, including within our NTU sport clubs, recreational programmes and even support clubs and schools out in the community.
We aim to recruit, train and deploy a high quality workforce, providing the opportunity for students to gain internationally recognised qualifications in a number of different sports and seek to develop individuals to progress their careers.
Media, marketing and communications
As the Sports Media and Marketing sector continues to grow in popularity, NTU Sport recognise that we can play a key role in developing students who have an interest in this field.
With a nationally-recognised Performance Sport programme, a range of high profile events and a vast array of sports clubs here at NTU, we are perfectly placed to be able to offer our students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of Sport Media, Marketing and Communications.
Social sport
Join us in bringing the Play for Fun programme at Nottingham Trent University to life! We recruit enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver fun, inclusive sports and activities that bring students together.
It's a chance to develop your leadership skills, make new friends, and make a real impact on campus life - all while having fun!
If you're passionate about creating a positive, active community, we'd love to have you on our team.
Community engagement
Our Community Sport Volunteering programme is a dynamic programme where students can engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities by delivering sport programmes in primary and secondary schools, or working with community partner organisations across Nottingham.
Students can dedicate anywhere from a couple of hours a week to a full day, depending on their availability and the needs of the organisations.
The roles available are diverse, ranging from grassroots involvement to supporting elite-level sport. This programme offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in both schools and the wider Nottingham community.
