That's why we've developed the Student Mentoring programme; designed to help you navigate your university journey with ease and confidence. Our programme connects first-year students with experienced Student Mentors studying the same or similar courses. Your mentor will provide beneficial information, guidance, and support to help you adjust to university life.

Frequently asked questions
Student Mentors are from the same or a similar course to you, and have already successfully navigated their first year at NTU. They are trained to provide support and share their experiences with you.
You will be automatically assigned a mentor when you enrol at NTU. You will receive an email with details about your mentor and how to contact them at the start of the academic year. You will also be able to find your mentor’s contact details on your Dashboard profile, or you can e-mail cert@ntu.ac.uk
You can talk to your mentor about anything related to university life, including academic concerns, social activities, navigating the campus, or even just where to get the best coffee! You might also find some academic schools bring mentors into learning spaces which gives you a great chance to learn about your course from a relatable voice.
It depends on your needs and availability. Typically, mentors and mentees meet once every few weeks, but you can arrange more frequent meetings if needed. Meetings could be 1-1, or in groups either online or in-person.
