Nottingham Trent University to host final head-to-head General Election Debate tonight between Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has been announced as the host venue for the final head-to-head debate ahead of the General Election between Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.

Announced live this morning on BBC Breakfast, the debate will take place on the City Campus in NTU’s Newton and Arkwright buildings.

Hosted by Mishal Husain, the special programme will air tonight at 8.15pm in front of a live TV audience who will pose questions to the Leaders of Conservative and Labour parties.

BBC News programmes throughout the day including News at One, Newsnight and News at Six will also be broadcast from Nottingham Trent University.

Up to 150 journalists from the BBC and other national and regional media outlets will be in attendance.

A number of NTU students from the Centre for Broadcasting & Journalism are supporting the BBC throughout the day as runners, and our student publications are also attending to report on the day’s events as accredited journalists.

NTU academic experts and representatives from NTU and Nottingham Trent Students' Union (NTSU) will also be on hand to undertake media interviews throughout the day.

Viewers can watch on BBC One from 8.15pm and also live on BBC iPlayer.
