Digital DJing 3-week course
Join DJ/producer Joni Newham to learn all the basics of digital DJing. Go from absolute beginner to gaining a confident foundation of DJing fundamentals. You'll attend a two-hour session every Monday for three weeks.

This event is open to NTU and Confetti HE students and staff.
Whether you're simply a music lover curious to give it a go or an aspiring DJ taking your first steps towards playing in front of crowds, our intensive three-week DJing course will help you learn the basics. Led by DJ/producer Joni Newham, expect a relaxed, welcoming and sociable environment.
This three-week course costs just £9. Places are limited (8 per course) and booking will open in early September. You can register your interest now via our online form and we'll email you when booking is live.
Week One: Monday 3 February, 6 - 8 pm
We'll cover the basics of playing and manipulating tracks and take you through your first mix between two songs.
Week Two: Monday 10 February, 6 - 8 pm
You'll train your ears to be able to sync tracks without any visual aid – a skill that's indispensable whether you're DJing digitally or with vinyl records.
Week Three: Monday 17 February, 6 - 8 pm
You'll develop your ability to use EQ and effects to process the tracks you're playing and get creative with how you blend between songs.
