Join us for our monthly networking breakfast at the Dryden Enterprise Centre. If you’re keen to expand your business contacts and get new ideas, this session will help you get there.

Designed for start-ups, established SME’s, freelancers and business leaders, during this session you’ll get chance to share skills, connect with peers, learn more about how you can work with NTU and enjoy a light breakfast.

Our networking sessions are open to entrepreneurs and founders no matter if you’ve been involved with NTU before.

We understand how important it is to connect with other businesses, to link up with peers and share ideas and to grow your customer base. That’s why we’ve created these informal breakfast events to foster collaboration and connectivity – and give you a chance to meet up with people who are just starting out on their business journey – alongside seasoned entrepreneurs.

Join us at 8.30 am for a light breakfast and a cup of something hot (or cold – your choice), followed by an informal skill swap and the latest updates in our business community.

At DEC Connect on Tuesday 21st January, We will be joined by Alastair Town! Alistair will share practical insights for SMEs on how to harness the power of AI to boost their business. He’ll explore real-world applications, highlight common pitfalls to avoid, and help founders, SMEs, and freelancers gain the confidence to make AI work for them. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a true expert in the field!

Meet Alastair: Alastair Town is a champion of AI literacy and an expert in driving digital confidence. As the Digital Confidence Delivery Manager, he leads transformative digital change initiatives, helping organisations unlock the value of AI and other cutting-edge technologies. His work has earned him start-up funding from Microsoft and recognition from The Times Higher Education awards.

With experience in both the private and public sectors, Alastair has a proven track record of delivering impactful software training programmes and digital transformation projects. At NTU, he chairs the AI Practice and Scholarship Group, fostering innovation and collaboration across disciplines.
