Welcome to our event, Technologies and AI to Support Students with Autism and SEN! This event is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning about the latest technologies and AI that can help support students with autism and special educational needs (SEN).

Our event will take place on Wed Jul 12 2023 at 10:00 am at Clifton Lane, Clifton, NG11 8NS. We have a range of guest speakers who will be sharing their knowledge and experience about the latest technologies and AI that can help support students with autism and SEN.

At our event, you will have the opportunity to network with other professionals and learn about the latest developments in technologies and AI for autism and SEN. This is a great opportunity to gain new insights and ideas for your school.

Agenda summary:

- Guest Keynote Speech (TBC)

- AI-TOP - Using sensors and machine learning to detect engagement and predict emotional dysregulation events in children with ASD.

- The potential use of social robots in special education, featuring the Pepper Robot

- Student developed serious games for independent living skills in students with ASD and intellectual disabilities

- Virtual spatial navigation tasks to assess early cognitive decline in young adults with intellectual disabilities

Sessions will be run as a series of short presentations, each followed by demonstrations and discussion allowing participants the chance to pose questions and get answers. A full buffet lunch and hot/cold drinks will be provided!
