Event details

Ashfield Voluntary Action's Inspiring Ashfield initiative brought together over 20 local organisations to provide a calendar of events and activities to enable Social Prescribing Link Workers to make better referrals for their clients as well as to reinvigorate the local community after the pandemic.

The AHRC has funded NTU to capture the 'active ingredients' to this approach with a view to sharing these with other community infrastructure organisations and Social Prescribers.

The NTU research team will report the results of their evaluation of Inspiring Ashfield and their ongoing work in adapting this approach to meet the needs of two nearby areas: Mansfield, and Newark and Sherwood.

They will also outline the next stage of the work - a large-scale funding bid for up to £2.5m to the AHRC to create and test collaborative models for the integration of cultural, community and natural environment assets into health and care systems.

In afternoon workshops, attendees are invited to register an interest in taking part in the bid and to share their views on how Social Prescribing can be developed across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
