We share the importance of the creative approach, how it can help you, and what can you do to turn a spark of creativity into a success!

Sometimes downplayed and undervalued, we’d struggle to think of billion-dollar idea that didn’t start as a creative concept. From art to architecture, copywriting to coding, fashion to finance – creativity is a tool you need to practice and utilise.

This session will focus on the importance of creativity, from building a business around a product or service you create – to using a creative mindset to solve problems or find innovative solutions.

Our fantastic guest, Kate Gamble, Head of Creative at child and baby retailer My 1st Years, talks about how she leveraged her creativity through her career, how she navigates problems and how she manages a team of creative minds to think up new products, campaigns and work with influencers to promote the brand.

The session will also host student networking and an interactive session on how you can develop and apply your creative mindset to your business and/or workplace. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

About the event:

Being creative doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be an artistic painter or a thriving poet. Everyone can be creative, but the perception of a ‘creative person’ vs ‘creativity’ can create a challenge.

In this session, we’ll look at what it means to be a creative entrepreneur, how you can find your creative skills and pivot creative talent to build a career.

If you're looking to learn more about the importance of creativity, why you should practise it, and how it can help with your business or business idea, then this session must be in your calendar!

About the speaker:

Kate Gamble has worked in the design industry for 24 years, gaining experience in designing and illustrating for anything and everything that the little people of this world might love.

As a seasoned Head of Creative, she is passionate about helping retailers, brands, suppliers and licenses to design and develop products for the nursery and children’s industry. Outside of the office, Kate enjoys time with her husband and teenage children and fixing up their Victorian terrace.

Come to our next Entrepreneurs Club to hear her stories and ask questions!
