The Project

Inspired by the fluidity of motion in nature, Jack sets out to create a piece that transcends the conventional boundaries of furniture. What sets Stroll apart is its four-legged structure, reminiscent of an animal in motion. The front two legs are carefully angled, giving the bench a dynamic appearance that is both graceful and engaging. Stroll is available in two timbers—Douglas fir and ash. The use of these high-quality materials not only ensures durability but also adds a touch of natural elegance to any space.

The inspiration behind the project

Stroll was Designed to seamlessly integrate into a gallery setting, Stroll draws inspiration from the effortless grace of movement found in nature. Imagine a deer frozen in mid-stride – that's the essence captured in the four angled legs. They're not just support, but create a dynamic pose, both elegant and inviting. It's an invitation to pause, take a seat, and regard the movement around you, filling the space with a touch of joy and movement.

Being part of NTU

Being a Nottingham local, Jack never thought his hometown university could hold such an amazing experience. NTU blew Jack's expectations out of the water. The lecturers and staff here are incredibly supportive, always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. He's found the facilities top-notch, providing everything he needs to excel in his studies. But NTU goes beyond academics.

The sense of community is incredible, and the university offers countless opportunities to explore my interests outside of class. From clubs and societies to volunteering initiatives, there's something for everyone. Studying at NTU has allowed Jack to grow not just as a student, but as a person, all within the familiar yet vibrant city he calls home.
