Employers across the various built environment sectors came to Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to showcase their placement and graduate opportunities to students across the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment (ADBE).

This year, a large variety of companies visited NTU to share exciting job opportunities with students studying in the School of ADBE.

This special event aimed to help ADBE students learn about the jobs they could go into early in their careers. At the fair, students were given the chance to meet and talk with local and regional companies, ask questions, and make connections.

Overall, the event attracted significant interest with over 400 students signing in.

Sought-after talent

Lots of students got ready for the day by bringing their CVs with them. This event was extra helpful for students in their first and second years, as it helped them get ready for potential work experiences, placement opportunities, and graduate roles.

But it wasn't just students who benefitted. Companies also got to know the incredible and exciting new talent at NTU. All companies left the fair impressed by how prepared all students were, and the research they had already made into their businesses.

Outstanding feedback

We received incredible feedback from our guests. Speaking about their experience participating in the fair, Bentley Project Management said:

“I really liked the venue, everything was set up ready for us to go, it was organised and we didn’t need to contact any of the NTU team for help, we had everything we needed. It was nice to see some lecturers coming round to ask what we did so they could point their students to us.”

Kam Project Consultants also reflected on their experience working with NTU:

“I went there as a student and want to give back. It’s one of the best construction schools in the UK. The engagement/ease to deal with the Employability team makes the process simple and encourages you to attend on a yearly basis.”
