Lerato Dixon is a Lecturer in Economics at Nottingham Business School. She teaches at a variety of levels of undergraduate economics courses and supervises undergraduate students.

Her research interest is in behavioural economics, with themes such as other-regarding preferences, social norms and personality traits.

Career overview

Lerato obtained her PhD from Nottingham Business School in Experimental Economics. Lerato has designed and implemented experiments in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. Prior to NTU, Lerato completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Politics at Cardiff University. Following this, Lerato completed a Master's degree in Development Economics and Policy Analysis.

Lerato’s recent research experience includes experimental research on social preferences in Zimbabwe. In addition, experimental research in the United Kingdom. She has also contributed economic research for Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield.

External activity

Lerato is the executive editor of the Economic Issues Trustees Board. This is the charity that looks after the journal Economic Issues based at Nottingham Trent University. Economic Issues is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles in all fields of economics, but particularly promotes those that have implications for teaching economics.
