University Language Programme

Learn a new language or improve your existing language skills

The University Language Programme (ULP) at Nottingham Language Centre provides students, staff and members of the general public with the opportunity to learn a new language or improve their existing language skills.

Our language courses are designed to build your ability and confidence to communicate freely in your chosen language. To teach our courses we use only experienced language specialists, many of who are native language speakers, so that you can benefit from an authentic language experience.

To create a successful and enjoyable language learning experience we have built Language Resource Centres at our City site and Clifton campus. These state-of-the-art facilities provide you with a wide range of up-to-date audio-visual materials and books for reference use. We also have live satellite programmes from other European countries available to further enhance your language experience.

To aid your independent study we utilise the University's web based learning environment (NOW). NOW allows you to access module learning materials and view updated module information, with access both on and off campus 24-hours a day.
