I first heard about NTU through friends who had studied there. They recommended the University and Nottingham as a city. I compared the modules to similar courses at other universities, but the professional industry links NTU has made me decide to apply.
The best things about studying MSc Structural Engineering are the staff and the facilities. The lecturers have a wealth of knowledge and industry experience, which gives everything we work on more focus. With the re-opening of Newton and Arkwright our facilities are excellent. We have everything we need in a very inspiring environment.
When I arrived at NTU the international orientation week was really helpful. It was a great way of meeting people and getting a better idea of the city. I made a lot of friends and we still meet up regularly. Nottingham is a great student-friendly city. I enjoy playing and watching sport and Nottingham has some great teams and facilities.
Since graduating I have returned to India where I am working as a structural engineer. I am currently handling the design of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) buildings and bridges. The largest structure I have been involved in so far is 32 stories.
