During this postgraduate course students will study modules specially designed to impart theoretical knowledge, research and practical skills.

There will also be a number of optional modules available.

Delivery and Assessment

The course is delivered through workshops, lectures and small group seminars. Assessment on the course involves coursework, report writing, presentations and group work. There are also class tests, critical reviews, and critical bibliographies to prepare. To encourage and facilitate independent learning the course will take full advantage of NTU's online workspace (NOW).

Career development

International Relations graduates are highly employable due to their wide-ranging skills and competencies. Students from this course go on to careers in intelligence, finance, journalism, law, politics: a number of our graduates carry on working for non-governmental organisations in the UK or abroad, or for international organisations both in the UK and abroad as well. A number of MA graduates also follow up their studies with a PhD at NTU or at another institution as they want to carry on with the research work they have already developed for their MA Dissertation.

Entry requirements

• An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (normally 2.2 or above) in a relevant subject.
• Applicants without such qualifications will be considered but will be required to outline their motivation to study in their personal statement as well as demonstrate an ability to study at postgraduate level.
• No references are required when applying for this course.
